Glass Lewis, one of the world’s most respected proxy advisory companies, has incorporated several aspects mentioned in Amec’s President Letter 08/2016 in its 2017 voting policy. Glass Lewis’ voting policy document is directed at institutional investors from all over the world.
“We have been focusing on getting closer to Glass Lewis so that we can help it understand typically Brazilian scenarios,” explains Mauro Rodrigues da Cunha, Amec CEO.
As part of the initiative, Glass Lewis participated in the workshop about the management compensation issue organized by the association in November 2016. During the event, Francisca Cayolla Vicente, Corporate Governance Research Analyst at Glass Lewis, introduced the company’s proxy advisory structure and had the opportunity to interact with Amec’s members.
