The Global Network of Investor Associations (GNIA) met after ICGN event. During the meeting, the participating associations discussed their priorities for the next months in line with ICGN’s objectives.
The members had the opportunity to attend a presentation by the professor Craig Doidge, from the University of Toronto, who summarized its “Can Institutional Investors Improve Corporate Governance Through Collective Action?” paper, which describes and proves the value of the activism efforts led by CCGG in Canada.
The meeting also included a discussion about the possibility of conciliating the initiatives conducted by the several associations for the creation of national Stewardship Codes, and the role of the Network as part of this process.
