Invitation for Public Hearing Code of Best Corporate Governance Practices

The IBGC – Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance – invites the domestic capital market participants to give their opinion on the draft of the new Code of Best Corporate Governance Practices. By means of a public hearing, the IBGC expects to receive important contributions from different stakeholders, to be further considered in the preparing of the final version of the document.
The process to prepare the new edition of the Code started with the evaluation that, five years after the launch of the fourth edition, it’s time to rethink the challenges and changes in the business environment and the ways through which good practices can add value to Brazilian organizations.
Based on that, a commission of specialists assigned by IBGC has periodically met over the past months to discuss proposals to be included in the new Code through the lens of the best corporate governance practices. The draft brought to public hearing makes the results of such work effective, which involves the efforts of the commission’s members and also of other specialists consulted during the discussions.
