23rd Apimec Congress opens registrations for “Concurso de Artigos”

Apimec (the Association of Capital Market Analysts and Investment Professionals) Congress is held every two years in the capital cities that host Regional Apimecs. This year’s edition will take place in the city of Porto Alegre (State of Rio Grande do Sul), at Centro de Eventos Plaza São Rafael, on December 1 and 2. Traditionally, the event includes an Academic Article Competition aimed to foster scientific research and production in the Financial and Capital Market sphere.
The competition comprises the submission of articles, according to the guidelines detailed in the event website, about Corporate Governance, Assets Pricing, Risk Management and Volatility, Behavioral Finances, Corporate Finances and Macroeconomic Analysis. The three best selected articles are announced during the Congress and awarded prizes of some 10,000 Reais, 5,000 Reais and 3,000 Reais, respectively.
This year, Apimec Congress’ speeches and roundtables will be addressing “The Challenges for Brazil to Recover Attractiveness and Grow with Sustainability,” aimed at discussing new paths for the country after the elections that will take place in October.
Apimec Congress has the institutional support of Amec. The entity’s CEO, Mauro Rodrigues da Cunha, will be participating in the panel to be held on December 1.
